The Novel Computing Technologies SIG focuses on non-traditional, or upcoming technologies and uses of supercomputing with SGI systems. The group shares information, early evaulations, success stories, tips and warnings on topics such as Reconfigurable Computing (FPGAs), Data Intensive Computing (eg Massive Data Mining), new programming paradigms (eg parallel Matlab, UPC, etc), Project Ultraviolet, and more. The group manages the conference themes addressing these issues. |
